Endowed Professorships
Weatherhead is honored with 15 named professorships reflecting
the interests of their generous donors. Holding a professorship is an honor in the academic world, and Weatherhead uses them to retain or recruit top faculty. Endowed professorships provide a permanent legacy and aid the School by providing income to underwrite faculty salaries and other expenses associated with that faculty member/program, including research cost, activities, and conference support.
Professorships
allow Weatherhead to reduce the student-to-faculty ratio, (a statistic used in college rankings and other evaluations) and direct money that would otherwise have been spent on salaries toward other school needs.
