Richard Boyatzis, PhD
Professor of Organizational Behavior
Richard is a leading expert in emotional intelligence competencies with
focus placed on leadership development among adults. He is a coauthor
of the best-selling book, Primal Leadership: Realizing the Power of Emotional
Intelligence (2002, Harvard Business School Press), with D. Goleman and
A. McKee and coauthor of the new book Resonant Leadership: Renewing
Yourself and Connecting With Others Through Mindfulness, Hope, and
Compassion (2005, Harvard Business School Press) with A. McKee.
David Cooperrider, PhD
Professor of Organizational Behavior
David is the recognized pioneer of
appreciative inquiry, along with Suresh Srivastva, and a leading expert in
positive organizational change. He is a
consultant for numerous businesses and organizations including American
Express, BP America, the United Nations, and the U.S. Navy. He is the
co-author of several books, including the Appreciative Inquiry Handbook
(2003, Lakeshore Communications).
Ronald Fry, PhD
Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior
Department Chair, Organizational Behavior
Ron is co-creator of appreciative inquiry. He is co-author of Appreciative
Inquiry: A Positive Approach to Capacity Building (2005, Taos Publishing)
and recently co-edited the first volume of case studies on AI called
Appreciative Inquiry and Organizational Transformation: Reports from the
Field (2002, Greenwood Publishers).
David A. Kolb, Ph.D.
Professor of Organizational Behavior
David is best known for his research on experiential learning and learning
styles described in Experiential Learning: Experience as the Source of
Learning and Development. His current research focuses on team learning,
experiential learning in conversation and learning focused institutional
development in higher education. He received his Ph.D. in Social
Psychology from Harvard University.
Eric Neilsen, PhD
Professor of Organizational Behavior
Eric established the Weatherhead Master in Organizational
Development Program. His research interests include organization development
and
change, industrial history (U.S., Latin America, Europe), and management
interfaces between North and South America.

Harlow Cohen, PhD
Faculty Director, MPOD Program
President and a senior consultant for HBC&A, Inc., a Cleveland-based, change
management consulting firm.
Mr. Cohen holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from
Case Western Reserve University and a Masters in Organization
Development and Analysis also from CASE. He is an adjunct
faculty member of Case Western Reserve University for
the Department of Organizational Behavior; and has also
been a faculty coach for the MBA program, Action Learning
course. He has published articles on generating bottom
line results, identifying and developing managerial
high performers, tapping into an organization’s
hidden potential, maximizing the contributions of human
resource professionals and a chapter on enhancing team
effectiveness. He is currently writing a book entitled, The Dinosaur in the Living Room: Achieving Positive
Change by Tackling the Obvious.
Harlow is also the president and a senior consultant
for HBC&A, Inc., a Cleveland based change management
consulting firm. Prior to joining CASE, he was a senior
consultant and project manager for Robert H. Schaffer
and Associates, Vice President of Organization Planning
and Development for Ameritrust Company N.A., Senior
Vice President of Operations and Administration for
Boykin Management Company and Director of Human Resources
for Cole National Corporation and Cole Consumer Products.

Alice Kolb, Ph.D.
President of Experience Based Learning Systems, Inc., an
experiential learning research and development organization.
At EBLSI she facilitates innovation in research and practice of experiential
learning conducted by the worldwide experiential learning network. She is currently
the director
of Research for the Ohio Consortium on Artistic Learning, where she is conducting
a
longitudinal outcome study of learning styles of visual artists. She has published
a number
of articles on experiential learning, conversational learning, and artistic learning.
Alice received her Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University in
Organizational Behavior. Her current work is focused on promoting
learning in higher education through institution building. Her 2005 paper“Learning styles and learning spaces: Enhancing experiential learning in
higher education” published in Academy of Management Learning and
Education is based on this work.
